Open Call for Photographers

Rome Photo Lab is an international photography contest focused on two themes. The first is about Rome, where photographers will provide their unique perspective on the city, capturing the spirit of the place yet without showing any of Rome’s symbolic monuments and famous views. The second is about the street as life’s stage, focusing not so much on documentation but rather on the message and the emotions the photographs will convey: “reality is an ingredient, a mean to an end, not the reason for the photograph” (Eolo Perfido, international Jury member and renown Street Photographer).

For each of the two themes there will be four prizes offered by Profoto and Manfrotto: first, second and third place, as well as best photo taken with a smartphone.  The selection of photographs chosen by the internal jury will be displayed in the final exhibition in September at a historical location in Rome. Among them, the international jury will decide the winners.
