Portfolio Reviews with Ximena Echagüe
Rome Photo Lab – 3rd Edition, September 26–28, 2025
Overview
RPL25 is offering a series of one-on-one portfolio review sessions aimed at emerging or developing photographers who wish to deepen the visual storytelling within their work. These reviews will be led by Belgian-Argentinian photographer Ximena Echagüe, whose approach combines a critical reading of each image with an analysis of the portfolio as a cohesive visual narrative.
Format and Focus
Each session will last 45 minutes and will focus on two key aspects:
– A detailed reading of each image, considering composition, emotion, and expression.
– The development of a compelling visual storytelling that enhances the narrative coherence and impact of the portfolio as a whole.
The goal is for each participant to walk away with concrete tools to refine their visual language, edit with greater clarity, and build a stronger personal photographic voice.
Participant Requirements
– Bring 20 to 30 printed photographs (A5 format), from one or several series.
– Have a digital copy of the portfolio on a USB stick, in case some images need to be viewed on screen.
Price per 45-minute session: €80 per individual review
